As Stefan recently posted, and many others have noticed, I'm working on a book focused on MOSS 2007 Web Content Management Publishing site development with my good friend Spencer Harbar published by WROX. In effort to divert any future questions until we have more info about it, we are posting about now.

While no secret, we haven't been very vocal about the book because we're still in the very early stages any many things can change (content, delivery, etc)... so early that we're still playing with the title & you can see we don't even have a picture for Spence on the cover (my picture is coming from a previous one they had on file from the Real World SharePoint 2007 book). The goal is to make this the definitive WCM guide for developers. WROX has put the book up on Amazon for pre-ordering.

We're aiming to have it on the shelf early next year, but again, it's early in the process. Once we are closer to delivery, Spence and I will post more details about the book, including the table of contents and some additional details.

Until then... feel free to start holding your breath!

Gravatar Hi AC,

I am regular reader of your blog. I appreciate your effort on WCM side of things.

I am waiting for the book to release. I will pre-order it very soon.

I wish to see more detail about unpublishing the pages after quite a number of interations and when the pages are no longer valid. At present, we have to unpublish all the major versions one after the other. This is a great pain, if we have more major versions in due course.

Like to hear from you on this.

Gravatar Once again The Mossman wishes he had a flux capacitor... sounds like a book worth waiting for.

Gravatar ANDREW! This is great news! I've already been impressed by your chapter in the Real World SharePoint book. I really like how you make a case for and against your techniques and others. Keep it up man!
