Can't wait until June for my book to be published? Want to get a sneak peak and learn in a fun, fast paced environment? Don't have any experience with SharePoint from the development perspective and looking for not only a solid Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 development primer as well as learning how to leverage Office SharePoint Server 2007 to host content-centric Internet, Intranet or Extranet sites using Web Content Management & Publishing sites? Does the appeal of learning on the MSFT campus in Redmond, WA do anything for you?

If so, you might be interested in attending my 4-day hands-on MOSS 2007 WCM / Publishing site development course I'm teaching the week of April 21st. This isn't like other courses where you've got some instructor who just learned the content. Not only do I teach it, I wrote the class and all the labs. You'll learn not only how to create Publishing sites using all the common methods (browser interface & SharePoint Designer) but also how to leverage SharePoint Features & solutions to deploy all sorts of SharePoint assets (site columns, content types, master pages & page layouts) in a much more structured and repeatable approach. Also unlike other classes, you'll get some real-world, "in the field" experience where I'll share things I've learned working on some enterprise deployments over the last few years, including some cool tools available to community for free, as well as some ones I've developed and share with my students.

"But I've never developed with SharePoint!" Sound like you? No worries, you'll learn not only WSS development but also Publishing site development... all in 4 days!

Don't think the class ends at 5p. Frequently a few of us head out to dinner together (anyone in the class is welcome) to chat it up... either talking shop or whatever else. We have fun... period :).

I just finished refreshing the class description on the Ted Pattison Site here: WCM401. Check out the class description & module descriptions to get the details on the course. Don't forget to do your research... check out what some former students have said here: http://www.andrewconnell.com/blog/articles/MossWcmDeveloperClasses.aspx

All Comments Are Filtered & Moderated
Unfortunately comment spammers are just too effecient and are constantly dirtying up blogs with irrelivant and unwanted comments trying to improve their standing on search engines. All comments on this blog are moderated. I do not censor comments, but I don't approve comments with vulger language or those soliciting products. Most of the time comments are approved within a few hours of being submitted with the only exception when I'm traveling.

Why are you asking for my email address?
The only reason I'm asking for your email address, which isn't required to submit a comment, is to provide a gravatar if you've created an account for yourself and associated your email address with a small image. If you have a gravatar created for the email address you submit, it will appear next to your comment. Otherwise nothing will appear.

What is a gravatar?
A gravatar is a "globally recognized avatar." You can get more information about gravatars, as well as create your own for free, at www.gravatar.com. You can also view my gravatar here.
