Going to TechEd North America 2008 in Orlando? Are you a SharePoint professional or looking to get into it and mingle with people like you? Kick off the week right with an informal social gathering minus all the sponsorships and pushes by vendors. Last fall I started this little gathering called SharePoint by Day, SharePint by Night in Vegas for SP Connections and continued it with a very well attended event at the SharePoint Conference (maybe that’s because we picked a slick Irish pub to do the meet up!). Here’s the TechEd 2008 version!

The trick with TechEd is that it’s such a big event that there are so many evening events… both weeks! So, this time we’ll do it the night before both conferences start… and since there will be two weeks of TechEd, we’ll have two events! Just like previous SharePint’s, there will be no sponsors or vendors pimping their warez. Nothing against those events, but we want this to be an informal social where you can meet other people who are in the same field as you. We’ve also selected a cool new club (BB King’s) near the conference center so you don’t have to drive (unless you can’t get your rear to walk half a mile).
