Visual Studio 2008 Silverlight Tools - RTW?

It looks like the Silverlight development tools for Visual Studio 2008 were refreshed on Monday of this week for the final release (RTW) as the same link for RC1 is gone. At first I was skeptical as it had the exact same file size as the old one, but I uninstalled the old ones and installed the new. The installer definitely had a new step to it, forcing me to shut down IE.

At any rate, go get 'em!

One setback is that the Tools for Visual Studio 2008 SP1 lack one crucial file - the Silverlight Developer Runtime. This will be an issue if you don't have an internet connection on your development machine. I know this is rather unlikely but in my case I have to work with a VPC image. The workaround is: extract all the files from the CAB file into a folder. Additionally download this (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=127693) and put it in the folder, then transfer to complete folder to the machine in question. This way the installer (you need to run SPInstaller.exe) will not need to download anything from the internet and be able to install everything.
