Earlier this year I participated in a campaign for ASP.NET 2.0 developers to learn the basics of SharePoint development. This campaign, www.mssharepointdeveloper.com, contained free webcasts, hands-on labs and a preconfigured virtual machine.

Building off the success of that campaign, Microsoft is pushing out a new series of webcasts and hands-on labs around the area of building MOSS 2007 WCM Publishing sites. The series, SharePoint Products & Technologies for Internet Site Development, starts on December 2, 2008 and runs through January 6, 2009. Everything is completely free! The webcasts use the Adventure Works Travel site I mentioned in my SharePoint Pod Show podcast interview as well as in my TechEd EMEA sessions a few weeks back. In time, all the materials, as well as the sample site, will be available for download.

Here's a list of the webcasts, the topics and the dates with registration links:

Date (all times GMT -0500) Topic & Registration URL
Tues, Dec 2, 2008 : 2p-3p Getting Started
Thurs, Dec 4, 2008 : 2p-3p .COM Branding
Tues, Dec 9, 2008 : 2p-3p Custom Fields, Web Parts & Lists
Thurs, Dec 11, 2008 : 2p-3p Authentication
Tues, Dec 16, 2008 : 2p-3p Web Interoperability
Thurs, Dec 18, 2008 : 2-3p Search
Tues, Jan 6, 2009 : 2-3p Content Deployment
Thurs, Jan 8, 2009 : 2-3p Variations & Multilingual Sites
Tues, Jan 13, 2009 : 2-3p Enabling Social Networking
Thurs, Jan 15, 2009 : 2-3p Site Customization with Silverlight 2.0

I'll be presenting the content deployment module this time around... can't beat free training!

[Updated 11/25/2008 @ 3p] Added the last three webcasts.
[Updated 1/14/2009 @ 1a] Variations session was cancelled.

Unfortunately comment spammers are just too effecient and are constantly dirtying up blogs with irrelevant and unwanted comments trying to improve their standing on search engines. All comments on this blog are moderated. I do not censor comments, but I don't approve comments with vulger language or those soliciting products. Most of the time comments are approved within a few hours of being submitted with the only exception when I'm traveling.

Why are you asking for my email address?
The only reason I'm asking for your email address, which isn't required to submit a comment, is to provide a gravatar if you've created an account for yourself and associated your email address with a small image. If you have a gravatar created for the email address you submit, it will appear next to your comment. Otherwise nothing will appear.

What is a gravatar?
