Managed Windows Shared Hosting

I'll be teaching my WCM401 Developing Publishing Sites with SharePoint Server 20007 WCM developer class offered through the Ted Pattison Group the week of April 20-24, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV. Yup... you heard it right... this is the first time we're taking my class to Vegas. I *love* Vegas and usually come home with more cash than I left with (check out the last paragraph in this post). I'm sure there will be a few evenings I hit the strip for some blackjack action and maybe even see a Cirque show (I still haven't seen the Beatles Love show in The Mirage casino that I hear is so good).

Oh... and responding to popular demand, we've added a day to this class. Usually people ask for more time because we pack so much info this class so not only did we add a day, but I went ahead and added some additional content in the Web Part module (such as creating connected Web Parts, custom Editor Parts & some other advanced things) and a completely new module on search! No where else will you learn about MOSS 2007 Web Content Management development and not only how to setup and configure search, but also customizing the search results UI and working with the search APIs which I've shown how to do on the Enterprise Search team blog before. What will we cover in the search module?

  • Understanding search in Office SharePoint Server 2007
  • Search and SSP's: setup, configuration and administration
  • Implementing and configuring search Web Parts
  • Customizing search results
  • Programmatically working with the search API

But hey... I know some of your companies may not be up for sending you to Vegas with the economy the way it is. Maybe you need to do more with less? We also offer WCM training via Live Meeting at a significant discount and in the comfort of your own desk: that class (WC-WCM401) is just around the corner the week of February 9-13, 2009. Gravatar Is this the same Andrew Connell who used to work at ALLTEL now FIdelity in Jacksonville, Florida?

If it is, do you ever do on-site customized training for clients?

Thank you,
Susan Casillas

All Comments Are Filtered & Moderated
Unfortunately comment spammers are just too effecient and are constantly dirtying up blogs with irrelevant and unwanted comments trying to improve their standing on search engines. All comments on this blog are moderated. I do not censor comments, but I don't approve comments with vulger language or those soliciting products. Most of the time comments are approved within a few hours of being submitted with the only exception when I'm traveling.

Why are you asking for my email address?
The only reason I'm asking for your email address, which isn't required to submit a comment, is to provide a gravatar if you've created an account for yourself and associated your email address with a small image. If you have a gravatar created for the email address you submit, it will appear next to your comment. Otherwise nothing will appear.

What is a gravatar?
A gravatar is a "globally recognized avatar." You can get more information about gravatars, as well as create your own for free, at www.gravatar.com. You can also view my gravatar here.
