Reminder–Speaking at the NYC and Boston SharePoint User Groups this week

Posting a friendly reminder that I’ll be at the SharePoint User Groups presenting on metadata for developers & IT pros this week in New York City & Boston. I’ll be in New York City on Wednesday, September 7th & Boston on Thursday, September 8th. While the session title has “developing” in the title, I’ll also take time to explain in detail how the entire system works under the covers so there should be good topics to discuss for both developers & IT pros alike!

Developing with SharePoint Server 2010 Metadata
The Managed Metadata Service application in SharePoint 2010 allows users to create and utilize taxonomies in various ways. Microsoft has included a robust taxonomy API in SharePoint 2010 that can be leveraged in custom solutions. In this session we'll explore how you can interact with taxonomies within the Managed Metadata Service application as well as work with metadata columns in custom solutions from a development perspective.

Make sure you get a pass from the spouse as afterwards I’m sure we’ll find a local watering hole for drinks to continue the discussion!
