I’ll be presenting at the SharePoint Conference 2011

I recently got some great news that two of my sessions have been selected for me to present at the SharePoint Conference 2011 in Anaheim, CA later this year. The organizers are working through all the sessions and seemingly doing an extended speaker notification of sessions… so I’m not sure if I’m doing other sessions as well, but the two that I know I will be doing are as follows:

Deep Dive on SharePoint Ribbon Development & ExtensibilitySharePoint 2010 introduced a new paradigm in the user experience: the ribbon. This user friendly control contains all the controls and tools available to users when interacting with SharePoint to get their job done. Developers can customize and extend the ribbon for custom solutions. In this session we’ll examine the different components of the ribbon as well as how to create page components, asynchronous callbacks and prompt the user with intuitive dialogs. Best of all you can do all this from the sandbox and avoid getting admins involved in deploying farm solutions!

Out of the Sandbox and into the cloud: Build your next SharePoint app on Azure Have you evaluated Sandbox solutions and know you are going to need more flexibility, control and power? We will show you a new innovative approach to building your next SharePoint application that lets you take advantage of all the power of Azure and ASP.Net while at the same time leveraging all that SharePoint has to offer. Your users will have no idea your application is in the cloud!

The ribbon session is similar to one I’ve done in the past at a few conferences that is well received, but this time it will be even better and more interesting! I’m really looking forward to the SharePoint+Azure session… got a cool demo in mind and hoping I can pull it off in time!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at SPC11… and don’t forget about the SharePint Save the Date!
