Just a few random MOSS related bits before I sign off and pack up for SharePoint Connections next week…
News has been floating around various sources are posting that MSFT has confirmed that Windows Vista and the 2007 Office System (yes, that means all the clients, Windows SharePoint Services v3, and Office SharePoint Server 2007) will RTM (release to manufacturing) on November 30, 2006.
I just updated my MOSS WCM Links & Resources page with another 12 links pushing it to a nice [unintentionally] rounded number of 150 total links. You can see what was added by viewing the change log , but what I wanted to highlight was the addition to two new categories: Development Practices & Tips and Utilities .
Two links I added were from the ECM Team Blog … both are fantastic reads:
Building TylerButler.com, Part 1: Planning and Basic Branding - Tyler Butler of the WCM product team starts a blog post series where he’ll walk you through the process of converting a site to a Publishing site (WCM site) in MOSS 2007.
Configuring and Customizing The Content By Query Web Part - George Perantatos of the WCM product team talks about customizing the CBQ Web Part which I like to refer to as the silver bullet for page layout developers
