TechEd 2006 Connect - finally someone did it!

It seems everytime we hit a conference, be it large like TechEd/DevConnections or small like a code camp, you usually see a flurry of activity on attendees blogs and mailboxes with “I’ll be there, let’s meet up” or something of the like. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a site where you could op-in and see a list of people who were attending? Sure would make things easier and more centeralized wouldn’t it?

If you’re going to TechEd 2006 this year in Boston, MA, you’ve now got something like this. Under the “Community & Networking” menu, you’ll find TechEd Connect, a site where you can ID who you are, your areas of focus/experience, your areas of interest, and times/places you’d prefer to meet with people. It’s totally an op-in deal… and very cool!

If you’re going to TechEd this year and you don’t want to attend in a vaccuum, fill out your profile today! You can find me under the username ‘aconnell’.
