Took longer than I expected, but CE now has a higher market share than Palm

Yeah, it took longer than I expected, but the Wall Street Journal reported Monday:

Microsoft’s Windows CE operating system accounted for 48.1% of the third quarter’s 2.8 million PDA shipments world-wide, up from 41% the previous year, according to market research firm Gartner Inc. The Palm OS, developed by PalmSource, a Sunnyvale, Calif., provider of software for mobile information devices, took a steep drop, representing 29.8% of the market, down from 46.9% in the year-earlier period.»WSJ: Microsoft PDA Software Takes Lead (subscription required).
