Critical Path Training is a SharePoint education company and joint venture between Andrew Connell and Ted Pattison, two Microsoft MVPs, formed in May 2009 from the evolution of the Ted Pattison Group. It offers instructor-led courses covering SharePoint development, Web Content Management (WCM), and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) for developers, administrators, and architects working with SharePoint 2007 and the upcoming SharePoint 2010 platform.
What Is Critical Path Training?
It is with great excitement that I announce Critical Path Training, a new company and joint venture between myself and Ted Pattison. You may already be familiar with the industry-leading SharePoint training company I have been affiliated with and have been promoting for the last few years, the Ted Pattison Group. Ted and I decided we wanted to formally join forces and create the industry-leading SharePoint education company.
What Happened to the Ted Pattison Group?
Critical Path Training is the direct evolution of the Ted Pattison Group. The same courses, the same instructors, and the same commitment to high-quality SharePoint training are all now operating under the Critical Path Training name. If you’ve taken a Ted Pattison Group course before, you already know what to expect — the only thing that’s changed is the name and the expanded scope of the partnership.
Where to Find Critical Path Training
The Critical Path Training website launched alongside the announcement, powered by Office SharePoint Server 2007 Web Content Management — fitting, given the curriculum we teach.
In 2009, that included an active Facebook group and a @CriticalPath Twitter handle. Both are historical artifacts at this point and no longer maintained.
Editor’s Note
Critical Path Training operated as a SharePoint training leader through the SharePoint 2007, 2010, and 2013 eras. Today, my SharePoint and Microsoft 365 developer education work continues at Voitanos, where the focus has expanded to cover the full modern Microsoft 365 developer stack — the SharePoint Framework, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Copilot — alongside the SharePoint fundamentals that Critical Path Training was built on.
If you’re looking for current SharePoint developer training, the SharePoint Framework hub is the right starting point.
