Microsoft MVP Logo

In about two months, I am looking forward to participating in the North American Collaboration Summit conference. This conference in Branson, Missouri over two days (March 2-3, 2018) was formerly known as SharePointalooza. It's situated in the Ozarks at a fun location.

The show is incredibly affordable with tickets starting at $65, something they can afford to do based on their non-profit status. You'll hear from experts coming in to present from around the world on various things for developers, IT Pros, information workers, power users and business decision makers.

One thing I'm really looking forward to with this conference is the fact it isn't a huge sea of attendees. At just a few hundred attendees, you have the opportunity to mingle with speakers, and as a speaker, it's a much more relaxed atmosphere where we can get to know you and have much richer conversations.

The organizer of the show, MVP Mark Rackley, has written a great post on why this is a fantastic opportunity for you to take advantage of. Check his post out today: The Must Attend SharePoint, Office 365, Power BI, and Azure Community Event of 2018.

Furthermore, check the latest episode of my podcast, the Microsoft Cloud Show, episode 234, where we interviewed Mark to learn more about the conference.

Pre-Conference Workshop: Mastering the SharePoint Framework

Are you looking for a fully immersive experience to get up to speed on the SharePoint Framework? I'm bringing the on-demand video class I'm working on for Voitanos to the North American Collaboration Summit as a full day workshop!

In this workshop, you will learn what the SharePoint Framework is all about, what is involved in getting your environment setup to be productive and how to build custom components. We will go from using no web frameworks to leveraging React and Angular, working with external data and even deploying your projects to CDNs.

By the end of the day, you will be well on your way to being a SharePoint Framework Master as you will get experience in building client-side web parts and extensions.

Attendees of the workshop will receive a complementary subscription to the Mastering the SharePoint Fundamentals on-demand video course, a $299 value!

In addition, if you register for the workshop and get someone else to register for it, I'll upgrade your complementary Fundamentals subscription to an Ultimate subscription, a $499 value!

The workshop is the day before the conference, March 1, and costs $275. Space is limited to make sure you register today - pick the workshop "SharePoint Framework" when registering.

Breakout Session: Introducing the SharePoint Framework

I'm also presenting a breakout session on the same topic:

Microsoft announced a new development model, the SharePoint Framework, to respond to emerging web technologies & address customer requests for better extensibility options at their Future of SharePoint event in May of 2016. In this presentation join SharePoint MVP Andrew Connell to find out what this new development model is all about. We will first cover what you need to do to configure and setup your developer environment so you can hit the ground running to then get up to speed on the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and learn how to create custom client side web parts for SharePoint Online in Office 365. Regardless if you are a developer new to SharePoint development or a seasoned SharePoint developer, this is for you!

Keynote Speaker - Microsoft Cloud Show

There's one more thing... my co-host CJ and I are bringing the Microsoft Cloud Show to the conference as Day 2 keynote! Join us or tune in for a live show that will be interactive, fun with the attendees and even a few speakers!

Hope to see everyone there!
