Learn the SharePoint Framework with me at the SharePoint Conference 2020 in Las Vegas!

I’m looking forward to the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2020 in Las Vegas, May 17-21, 2020, at the MGM Grand. Like the previous SharePoint Conferences, I’m excited to head back and present a pair of full-day workshops for SharePoint developers on the SharePoint Framework (SPFx)!

My SPFx Full-Day Workshops

But these aren’t your typical SPFx workshops… there’s something for everyone. In two days, you’ll go from little to no SPFx experience to having an expert grasp of the tech to implement for your organization or your customers.

Developers! Learn how to use the SharePoint Framework to Customize & Extend SharePoint

On Sunday, May 17, I’ll deliver my full-day workshop, Developers! Learn how to use the SharePoint Framework to Customize & Extend SharePoint . This is perfect for those developers who are new or have some experience with SPFx. We’ll touch on a ton of topics including getting your development environment setup, building web parts & extensions, leveraging external libraries, accessing data using the SharePoint REST API or Microsoft Graph and many more topics!

Level up your SharePoint Framework Solutions for the Enterprise

On Monday, May 18, I’m delivering a brand new full-day workshop, Level up your SharePoint Framework Solutions for the Enterprise . This day is designed for developers who already know SPFx and have experience building solutions, or you joined me on Sunday. Now it’s time to take your experience to the next level and learn! In this workshop I’ll show you how to add testing to your projects using Jest, including how to test your React components.

You’ll learn how to setup and configure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) in your project using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to build, test and deploy your components when the code is updated. We’ll also cover how to do some sophisticated debugging, usage and telemetry tracking using Azure Application Insights. Along the way, we’ll have to customize the build toolchain so you’ll even learn how to create custom gulp tasks and alter webpack.

Learn more and get the full description of both workshops using the links above.

There’s something for everyone. Maybe you’re just interested in one of the workshops. That’s fine… but if you are looking for a crash course bootcamp on getting ramped up to learn SPFx, get your dev manager to enroll you for both days!

What do you need? Nothing!

Not really… bring your favorite note-taking solution like a notebook, tablet or your laptop.

While you’re welcome to follow along, I find it’s much more effective to sit back, absorb the content and take notes. Attendees to each session will get full access to all the slides, demos and code I present during the workshops.

Conference WIFI doesn’t work well for Node-based projects downloading a bunch of dependencies for each project at the same time. Due to the number of attendees we’re expecting, it just isn’t feasible to stop the workshop to debug individual problems. Don’t try to approach this as a hands-on, code-along workshop… come ready to learn!

I hope to see you in Las Vegas at my workshops for the SharePoint Conference 2020! Make sure you use the code CONNELL to save $50 when you register !
