Create Adaptive Card Extensions (ACE) for Microsoft Viva Connections

In this module, you'll learn how to create Adaptive Card Extensions (ACEs) with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for use in Viva Connections.

I work with Microsoft Learning to publish & maintain multiple self-paced learning modules related to Microsoft 365. These modules are primarily used as self-paced study resources for developers preparing to take the MS-600 exam , the only prerequisite to achieve the Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Application Developer Associate certification. This is one of those modules.

This module will introduce you to creating custom Adaptive Card Extensions (ACEs) with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) that can be used in Viva Connections dashboards. These ACEs will work within all Viva Connections clients including the desktop and mobile apps.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand Viva Connections extensibility options
  • Understand how web parts, extensions and ACEs are exposed in the Viva Connections
  • Create custom ACEs using SharePoint Framework
